Classified Staff of the Year at Hollencrest Middle School

One of the first things that impresses anyone who visits our site is the condition of the physical plant. This year, the staff wanted to recognize a key individual who is responsible for the endless task of "making us look good." Mr Willie Ibarra has been the plant manager here at Hollencrest. He works with a team of two other custodians to insure that the campus is a place for learning.

We are so proud of our 2007-08 Teacher of the Year, Ms. Lorraine Gomez who leads her students into the fascinating world of Language Arts. As a graduate of California State University at Los Angeles, Ms. Gomez brings to our school her expertise in English. A visit to Ms. Gomez's classroom will reveal her students engaged in projects and group activities. Besides her work in the classroom, Ms. Gomez can be found aroung campus assisting with Saturday School, After School tutoring or the school talent show. And, when she's not here at school, you may spot her attending concerts, working on her salsa dancing or playing the drums.
