About Us

The West Covina Unified School District (WCUSD) serves the community of West Covina, California in the eastern San Gabriel Valley. Established in 1915 with only one school and less than a dozen students, the District has considerably grown. The WCUSD currently serves over 14,000 students in fifteen local area schools and two charter schools, offering a world-class education with programs to meet the needs of all students.

The District is committed to ensuring the curriculum remains relevant and promotes 21st-century learning tools. By offering a variety of placement options, flexible course scheduling, small class sizes, and more student attendance days, the District can meet the educational needs of students and ensure they are prepared for college and career success.

District of Choice

Students in the District may choose to attend any school within the boundaries to ensure the diverse needs and interests of students are met. The West Covina Unified School District is also recognized as a “School District of Choice,” allowing students from other California districts to transfer any school in the district.
