WCUSD Superintendent’s Update – August/September 2019

WCUSD Superintendent’s Update – August/September 2019

The first two months of the 2019-20 year brought new learning opportunities and recognitions of excellence to West Covina Unified, signaling that this is to be our best year yet.

There is a sense of pride and purpose felt across our campuses, bolstering the hard work our educators and staff put forth to provide high-quality instruction and engagement at all academic levels.

I am pleased to share that students and staff alike are being celebrated for their hard work in and out of the classroom, receiving due credit for their strength of character, athletic talent and prowess for science.

As the year progresses, I look forward to sharing more stories of success with all of you.

In the meantime, we want to ensure our students and families are aware of all the resources and programs West Covina Unified has to offer – whether that is an IB education at the International World Schools of West Covina, dual enrollment through the Mt. SAC Early College Academy or a glimpse at college and professional opportunities through our annual District College Fair.

I encourage all of you to revel in the early achievements we have experienced in 2019-20, explore all that West Covina Unified has to offer and to continue to support our students as they strive for new levels of greatness this year.

Sincerely,
Dr. Charles D. Hinman
Superintendent
