WCUSD Superintendent’s Update – February 2020

Throughout the month of February, West Covina Unified students showcased their talents and intellect across a variety of academic and enrichment programs.

Edgewood and West Covina high school students are excelling academically, advancing to state competitions in SkillsUSA, Science Olympiad, Journalism Education Association Write Off and more.

Meanwhile, an Orangewood Elementary student, Paz Toma’s artistic talent will aid the District’s efforts to raise funds for autism research. Her creative design will be featured on the District’s autism awareness T-shirts, on sale now at the District office.

These accolades reflect the hard work of our dedicated teachers, staff and administrators, all committed to providing the best education possible and preparing all students for future success. With their continued support – and that of our outstanding community – we will continue to ensure West Covina Unified is the premier destination for a rigorous and comprehensive education in Southern California.

Sincerely,

Charles D. Hinman, Ed.D.
Superintendent
