West Covina Unified’s new sports complex was filled with the sound of running water and cheers on May 11, as West Covina Unified Board of Education members and administrators gathered to fill the Olympic-size pool and celebrate the project’s construction progress.
Edgewood and West Covina high schools have been ranked in the top 16 percent of schools in the nation by U.S. News and World Report, recognizing strong student achievement in their International Baccalaureate (IB) and Advanced Placement (AP) programs.
Throughout the month of February, West Covina Unified students showcased their talents and intellect across a variety of academic and enrichment programs.
Welcomed by the rhythmic beat of West Covina High School’s drumline, hundreds of prospective families descended on the campus to explore academic, arts, athletics and extracurricular offerings during the 1609 Showcase.
Dual Language Immersion
Children learn to think, read, write and communicate in English and Spanish or Mandarin.
Students are equipped with technical skills to succeed in future careers.
Students attend college classes and earn credit on their high school campus.
IB World Schools
The IB Programme is offered at Orangewood and Edgewood schools.
